Dr. Enrico C. Paringit is the Executive Director of the Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development at the Department of Science and Technology. He is a licensed geodetic engineer and a professor at the University of the Philippines Diliman. Dr. Paringit leads the Disaster Risk and Exposure Assessment for Mitigation (DREAM) Program, which utilizes LiDAR technology to create detailed flood maps for 18 major river systems in the Philippines.
